Nart is responsible for safeguarding the Sky News standard of impartial and independent world-class news reporting and achieving the company’s business objectives.
Nart graduated from Syracuse University (New York) in 1989 with a BA in International Relations and specialisation in International Law. Launching his career in television journalism in 1990 as a video journalist in the Middle East covering some of the biggest news stories of the early 1990's such as Iraq, Somalia, Libya, Algeria, Yemen, Israel and the Palestinian territories and many others. He then moved to London in 1995 where he became the Middle East and Africa Regional Editor at Reuters Television.
In 2000, Nart relocated to Jordan, his native country, when he was presented with the opportunity to become the Director General of the National Broadcaster, Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTVC), during which he received the Kingdoms Medal of Honour from King Abdullah II for his role in establishing television facilities during the Arab Summit in 2001 in Amman. In 2002, he joined Abu Dhabi TV as Director of News where he spearheaded their acclaimed coverage of the war in Iraq in 2003. In 2006, Nart re-joined the Reuters News Agency where he had global responsible for video products and services on the World News Service of Reuters News Agency.
