Since joining Twitter in 2012, he has developed the company's international cross-functional strategy, expanded its presence from 3 countries to 30+.
Previously, Shailesh spent 7 years at Google, where he built
three critical business units: Local Search, India, and YouTube and
Display across Asia-Pacific. Shailesh scaled the regional YouTube
and Display operations into a $1Bn+ business. Over three years'
time, he scaled Google India business 4x. His first Google role was
to expand Local Search with Google Maps and Google Earth
internationally, growing sales 6x and acquiring 100k+ SMB
advertisers. Earlier, he spent 5 years at Yodlee, managing several
functions including business development and product management. He
began his technology in career content partnerships for America
Shailesh earned a dual undergraduate degree from the University
of Pennsylvania: Economics from The Wharton School and History with
Honors from the College of Arts & Sciences. He also earned an
MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Shailesh has been
recognized as one of India's 50 most powerful people by
